PHX SHUFFLE

I know I keep saying it, but it just get's more and more true: the AZ scene is EXPLODING! It's time to really buckle down and show our support these creatives if we, as fans. wish to truly see the community ascend to the higher levels. I'm gonna do my part by carrying on with this week's edition of PHX SHUFFLE.

20 POUNDS - "LIE TO ME" (Prod. Sk8zen)

Let me start this off with a huge, "CONGRATULATIONS", from everyone here at Contagion for selling out Crescent Ballroom for your August 10th performance! Following this feat, they refuse to stop their momentum for a second. Building up to their first collective tape (which you can read about here), we were gifted, "LIE TO ME". A low key banger, Shrub Head and MA$TERMIND both body their verses in between a subtly powerful hook that pulls the whole thing together.

PAT-KANJI : "Talk My Shit" (prod. justice.)

Straying from his normal R&B sound, PAT-KANJI delivers a surprisingly melodic banger for any summer smoke sesh. "Talk My Shit" puts PAT squarely on the jazz influenced, justice. production, where he simply dominates through the employment of various flows and ear-catching lyricism. With a unique voice and a true desire to succeed, its no wonder why PAT succeeds once again.

DRTYLAUNDRY - "Third Day" (Prod. by cashmoneyap & beneficial productions)

Days removed from a major placement on ELEVATOR, DRTYLAUNDRY shows that he's playing no games with his newest release, "Third Day". Embracing his established sound, DRTYLAUNDRY spins a trance perfect for any late night drive. The lights reflecting against the dark hues of a sleeping city, perfectly captures the essence of this must play experience.
