Meet: Juice WRLD

Interscope signed him for 3 million. His Cole Bennett directed music video just hit 9.6 million views on Youtube. On Soundcloud his mixtape, JuiceWRLD 9 9 9, has collectively reached over 23.8 million plays. All of this has happened in less than a year.

The future is Juice WRLD.

With a genre blending sound of rock and rap, Juice WRLD is set to be the biggest breakout star of the alternative rap world that is home to names like: Lil Uzi Vert, Bexey, Lil Peep, Coldhart and many others. Born in Chicago, Juice WRLD takes large inspiration from his city and especially from 808s and Heartbreak, the fourth studio album by Kanye West. His love for Chief Keef and Kanye, as well as Fall Out Boy, Paramore and other alt rock, helped to define his sound as early as middle school. This set him up for a high school career of experimentation and growth as an artist.

He posted his first track on Soundcloud about three years ago under the moniker, JuiceTheKidd, introducing the world to his sound. He spent the next year refining his style, before releasing JUICED UP THE EP in 2016.

Even with all of this work under his belt though, Juice WRLD didn't really begin to change the landscape until he linked up with frequent producer, SIDEPCE. SIDEPCE has been a part of every project since they first collaborated over a year ago on the track, KNOW US, a perfect early showcasing of the potential possessed between this pairing.

In true superstar fashion, lightning struck twice for this artist when he linked up with producer, NICK MIRA, who's hands have been in all of Juice WRLD'S biggest hits over the last year. Their chemistry grew greatly as they continued to define themselves over the course of creating, Heartbroken in Hollywood 9 9 9, a two track EP released as Juice WRLD. This tape set the very foundation for what would come to be his true breakout collection, JuiceWRLD 9 9 9, home to standout tracks, Lucid Dreams and Sticks and Stones, which find Juice WRLD examining his past relationships and the emotional scars that they've left him with.

All of this building led up to the game changing moment of his career, the dropping of, ALL GIRLS ARE THE SAME. With the song quickly racking up views on Soundcloud, Juice WRLD used this momentum to project himself to a wider audience by connecting with Lyrical Lemonade founder and renowned music video director, Cole Bennett. By releasing his video through the Lyrical Lemonade platform, Juice WRLD became a household name in the underground scene almost over night and having secured nearly 10 million plays in just over two months, there is no sign that he is slowing down.

With his signing to Interscope, a good head on his shoulders and a strong team at his back, one thing is for sure... big things are in store for this nineteen year old sensation.
