The Phoenix scene has been BOOMING all summer long. With plenty of shows, some fresh faces going hard, a slew of pending releases and a little beef to stir things up, we are seeing the city climbing towards the mountaintop faster and faster everyday. As everyone begins to settle into their stride, it is a beautiful time to be a part of the burgeoning music oasis in the desert.

So with no further ado, let's get into the music and catch up on some of the best releases of the past month from our local hitmakers, in another installment of PHX SHUFFLE!

Emmitt Dupree : 4EVA (prod. Charley Brown)

One of the best MC's in the state proves once again why he wears that title with ease. With, "4EVA", quickly wracking up thousands of plays on Spotify and SoundCloud, it's swiftly proven to be his most explosive song to date. Employing his brand of precision wordplay and stellar vocal control, Emmitt makes it easy to want to hit replay over and over again. Destroying the Charley Brown production, which provides a perfect foundation for Dupree to spaz on, these KROWNSOUND affiliates once again show us they are a forced to be reckoned with at all times.

dice. : To The Brink

Fresh on the scene following a two year hiatus, dice. spent no time letting us know he's here and means business. Released just under a month ago, "To The Brink", was an impressive showcase of dice.'s lyricism and natural charisma on a beat. His voice and approach to flow, proves his understanding of rap and we'll be paying close attention to his next few releases to see how determined he is to remain as a figure to pay attention to. But we suspect its in the bag.

First given to us over two months ago, "STACY KRABS", immediately became a personal favorite. With KILL STACY's infectious lyrics and undeniable presence on the mic, it's impossible to deny him as one of the more exciting artists to see working out of the city. STACY's complete control of the ZVNE production, coupled with the incredibly fun music video shot by Stevie Macck equals a certified banger.
